Sky Betting and Gaming was sold to CVC partners from Sky in March 2015. At this point they initiated a divestment programme to transition away from Sky – setting up an entire back office solution to replace the functions Sky had provided previously.

Aubyn took on the role of Lead Solution Architect to be a key part in delivering the transition away from Sky and implement (effectively green field). Early in the programme a decision was made to look for Cloud based / SaaS type solutions to speed up delivery and keep costs down.

Key areas that Aubyn had oversight (or ensuring alignment), working with the respective Architects, business owners and project managers:

• Third party selection (light weight tenders to full RFPs) and onboarding
• Governance in a fully agile business
• Infrastructure and build out of a new data centre
• Desktop estate and services required to support this

Solutions that Aubyn was heavily involved with at a detailed design or implementation level:

• Workday - a combined ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) & HCM (Human Capital Management) system
• IAM Cloud – identity management to enable single sign on and synchronise employee identity across multiple systems
• Cherwell – provided of ITSM software, which is key to SB&G who work under complex Gambling commission & PCI regulation
